Instead of asking why a local listing isn’t ranking higher, ask whether Google has enough confidence to show it more often. Confidence comes from alignment, your GBP, website, citations, and user behavior all telling the same story. When one breaks, growth stalls even if nothing looks ‘wrong’ on the surface.

Completely agree. Once the checklist is done, confidence is the real bottleneck. If user behavior, site experience, and entity signals don’t back up the listing, Google just stops pushing it further—no matter how clean everything looks.
