Hey, I'm curious about something. If anyone else has been thinking about this:

Are we, as Local SEO freelancers, underestimating the power of “non-digital reputation signals”?

I’ve been testing how things like local sponsorships, offline events, or even print media (that get mentioned online later) can quietly boost trust in a brand’s Knowledge Graph, especially in smaller markets.

So my question is:

Should we, as freelancers, start offering more “real-world visibility strategy” as part of Local SEO packages? Or is that stepping outside our lane?

I want your thoughts on this, especially if you’ve blended offline + online efforts in client work.

Totally agree, Celia. Offline efforts like events or sponsorships often lead to online mentions that boost trust and rankings. It’s still part of Local SEO and more freelancers should include it in their strategy.

I've seen this play out in smaller Canadian markets. Offline efforts like local sponsorships or community events often lead to online mentions that boost trust signals and even impact the Knowledge Graph.

Real-world visibility is part of SEO now. It’s not outside our lane, it’s expanding it.
