From 0 to 10K+ Organic Visitors in 5 Months — What Actually Worked
I recently came across this SEO case study for Mon Robot Lave Vitre, a French e-commerce store selling window-cleaning robots.
When the project started, the website had essentially zero organic traffic, no authority, and no meaningful rankings.
Five months later, the numbers looked very different:
10K+ organic clicks
252K Google impressions
4% average CTR
7.1 average position
What I find most interesting is that the growth didn't come from simply targeting high-volume keywords.
The SEO strategy focused heavily on transactional and lower-competition keywords, building content around what potential customers were actually searching for before making a purchase.
The process included:
- Improving the site's structure
- Identifying realistic keyword opportunities
- Building content around buying intent
- Optimizing important product-related queries
- Continuously monitoring rankings and search performance
- Exploring visibility in AI search as well
The graph tells the story pretty clearly. The website started almost from nothing, then gradually built momentum until organic clicks were consistently reaching much higher levels.
For me, this is a good reminder that SEO doesn't always need to start with the biggest keywords.
Sometimes, finding the right keywords with the right search intent and building around them consistently can produce much better results.
I'd be interested to hear from other SEO professionals here:
When starting SEO for a brand-new e-commerce website, do you prioritize low-competition transactional keywords first, or go after higher-volume keywords from the beginning?
Bro hats off As a freelancer this hit hard👏
Clients always ask for high volume keywords but you proved intent beats volume. That 10k clicks screenshot gave me pure motivation. As freelancers we always struggle to convince new ecom clients about low competition keywords.
How do you pitch this transactional keyword strategy to clients at the start?
Mark Reyes Thanks, Mark! 👏 I focus on search intent over volume. For new e-commerce sites, I start with low-competition transactional keywords, then scale toward higher-volume terms as authority grows.
Rise Rankers Thanks! Intent over volume makes perfect sense. Will try this with my next client.
Mark Reyes Absolutely! Glad it helped. Focusing on intent first usually makes the SEO strategy much more effective. Best of luck with your next client!
Great case study. Smart move focusing on low competition transactional keywords. Results are amazing😍 How long have you been doing this?
Thanks, Kevin!
I’ve been working in previous 8 years. This strategy comes from years of testing what works best for new e-commerce websites.
Not gonna lie this is so real I always start with low comp transactional keywords to get quick wins then go after the big ones
Riya Joshi Exactly!
Quick wins first, then go after the big keywords. That’s the strategy!
Thanks for sharing
