We’re looking for an experienced Local SEO specialist to optimize our website and content for local search visibility. Our goal is to appear at the top of Google Maps and local search results for relevant keywords in our area.

The ideal freelancer should understand how to optimize Google Business Profile (GBP), local citations, on-page SEO, and create engaging local content that attracts nearby customers.

Responsibilities:

Conduct a full local SEO audit of our website and Google Business Profile

Research local keywords related to our business and target city/region

Optimize on-page elements (titles, meta descriptions, schema, etc.) for local intent

Improve and manage Google Business Profile with posts, images, and keywords

Build and clean up local citations (directories, business listings, etc.)

Create or optimize local content (blog posts, service pages, and FAQs) to attract nearby customers

Track rankings, traffic, and conversions; provide monthly progress reports

Requirements:

Proven experience in Local SEO (please share examples or case studies)

Strong knowledge of Google Maps ranking factors and local algorithm updates

Familiar with tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, BrightLocal, or Whitespark

Ability to write or edit localized content naturally using target keywords

Understanding of structured data (LocalBusiness schema) is a plus
