Getting started

What is SERPWorks and how is it different from general freelance platforms?

SERPWorks is a specialized local SEO marketplace and talent directory designed exclusively for local search growth. Unlike general freelance platforms, SERPWorks focuses strictly on connecting local businesses with vetted experts specializing in Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization, Google Map Pack rankings, local citations, schema markup, and neighborhood-level review strategies.

Registration is free for all users on SERPWorks. If you are hiring local SEO experts to rank your business, follow our guide on How to Create a Client Account to set up your buyer profile. If you are a specialist or agency offering search services, follow our step-by-step tutorial on How to Create a Freelancer Account to list your services.

SERPWorks requires identity verification to build marketplace trust and ensure high service standards. Both freelancers and business clients can complete verification by submitting official identification credentials. Follow our step-by-step guide on How to Get Verified to earn your verified badge and boost your profile authority.

Clients have two ways to hire experts on SERPWorks. You can publish custom project requirements by following our step-by-step instructions on How to Post a Job to receive proposals from specialists. Alternatively, if you need instant fixed-scope solutions, follow our guide on How to Place an Order to purchase pre-packaged local SEO services directly from marketplace listings.

For Buyers

Clients can find local SEO experts by posting a project requirement to receive custom proposals or by browsing the SERPWorks marketplace to purchase pre-packaged services directly. Clients can evaluate specialist profiles, portfolio samples, client ratings, and identity verifications before finalizing a hire.

SERPWorks supports eight core service categories:

Enterprise & Multi-Location SEO, Google Business Profile & Map Services, Hyper-Local Link Building & Outreach, Local Citations & Directory Management, Local E-Commerce & Retail SEO, Local Paid Advertising & LSA, On-Page & Technical Local SEO, Reputation & Review Management.

Yes, SERPWorks provides a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If deliverables do not meet the agreed project scope, buyers can request a free strategy review, account audit, or specialist support within 10 days.

Yes, SERPWorks supports both one-time project orders and ongoing monthly retainers. Because local SEO requires continuous citation monitoring, review management, and profile updates, monthly retainers can be set up directly through the platform.

For Freelancers

To sell services on SERPWorks, register an account and select the “I’m a freelancer, looking for work” option during registration. Once registered, specialists can submit proposals to active job postings or list pre-packaged local SEO service packages. To post a service, see our guide: How to create a service on Serpworks.

Yes, SERPWorks allows both solo freelancers and specialized digital agencies to register profiles. Agencies can list services under their agency name and assign designated team members to manage client communication and execution.

Yes, SERPWorks allows freelancers and agencies to display portfolio samples, client reviews, verified identity badges, and documented local SEO case studies directly on their public profile.

SERPWorks recommends using account passwords that are at least 8 characters long and contain a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols (such as !, “, ?, $, %, ^, &, or )).

Payments and Platform

SERPWorks protects transactions using a Secure Escrow Payment Protection system. When a client awards a project, the payment is held securely in escrow and is only released to the freelancer’s account balance after the client reviews and approves the finished deliverables.

Serpworks charges zero platform fees or commissions to buyers. For freelancers, a 15% platform fee is deducted from total earnings upon project completion. There are no upfront listing charges or fees to submit project proposals. In the event of a valid cancellation or refund, this 5% handling fee is non-refundable and will be deducted from buyer.

Freelancers can request a withdrawal once project funds are released from escrow. SERPWorks applies a flat $2 withdrawal fee per payout transaction to process transfers to the specialist’s designated payment account.

SERPWorks accepts all major credit and debit cards for instant checkout. For corporate clients requiring direct invoicing instead of standard credit card billing, SERPWorks customer support can set up manual invoicing terms.
