Technical SEO & Schema Markup Case Study
This project is one of my favorites because it really shows what happens when the technical side of SEO gets the attention it deserves.
The business had no structured data in place at all, and a deeper look revealed indexing gaps and missing schema across their key service and location pages. Search engines simply didn’t have enough information to fully understand or trust the business, which was quietly limiting how often it showed up in local and rich search results.
I started with a full technical audit to map out exactly what was missing, then implemented LocalBusiness, Service, and Review schema using JSON-LD across the site’s core pages. Every piece of markup was validated against Google’s structured data guidelines before I called it done, no guesswork, no half-finished fixes.
Within 60 days, the results spoke for themselves:
– Schema coverage went from 0% to 100% across key pages
– Indexed pages increased by 40%
– Rich result appearances increased by 65%
What I enjoyed most about this project was watching a business go from being practically invisible to search engines to being clearly understood by them. That’s really the heart of technical SEO, it’s not glamorous, but it’s the foundation everything else stands on.
